Volunteering in Cambodia : Summer 2017

I have long awaited to write this blog post. So this July I finally returned to Cambodia, to the little rural school I had volunteered at last year (If you haven’t read about my 2016 experience the link to it is here!).

I was apprehensive, nervous and excited all at the same time. So many different emotions were going through me… I kept asking myself will the children I taught last year remember me? Will my experience teaching the kids this year be as fun as it was last year? Will I get to teach the same class that I did last year? Will I get to see Liang (a little boy who I taught last year!) again ? Will he remember me?

Volunteering in Cambodia: Summer 2016

This summer I volunteered in a rural school in Samraong. The mission of the project was to teach the children english and make them aware of their individual human rights. We had one class in the morning and another in the afternoon. Each class had about 30 students, which meant we had a total of 60 students.
